Beschreibung
The present research seeks to investigate the problem of integration in power relations from a sociological viewpoint, using the Volgograd Region of the Russian Federation as an example. The author draws up a system of sociological categories, which are tested by means of quantitative and qualitative empirical research, undertaken in the Volgograd Region. Moral and organisational values are taken as indicators of social and system integration respectively. Examining those values allows us to make a final conclusion about an obvious trend towards social integration while system integration of power relations remains underdeveloped in the Russian Federation. The book contains a detailed description of the system theory in sociology with a focus of the idea of equilibrium. The text also contains a lot of data, elicited on the territory of the Volgograd Region of Russia with a direct reference to the regional scope. The author is talking about those issues which are at the centre of contemporary political discussion in Russia. The book should be useful to those interested in Russian regional studies.
