Beschreibung
This book offers comprehensive information on the developments and applications of the solid phase microextraction (SPME) technique. The first part of the book briefly introduces readers to the fundamentals of SPME, while subsequent sections describe the applications of SPME technique in detail, including environmental analysis (air, water, soil/sediments), food analysis (volatile/nonvolatile compounds), and bioanalysis (plants, animal tissues, body fluids). The advantages and future challenges of the SPME technique are also discussed.
Including recent research advances and further developments of SPME, the book offers a practical reference guide and a valuable resource for researchers and users of SPME techniques. The target audience includes analytical chemists, environmental scientists, biological scientists, material scientists, and analysts, as well as students at universities/institutes in related fields.

Autorenportrait
Dr. Gangfeng Ouyang is a Professor at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and Director of the Research Center for Microextraction and Separation Technology at Sun Yat-sen University, China, where he also received his Ph.D. in physical chemistry in 2003. He completed his postdoctoral work at the University of Waterloo, Canada, with a focus on analytical chemistry. He is the author of over 110 scientific articles and 5 books. He was awarded the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), as well as receiving the distinctions Youth Leading Talent in Technological Innovation from the Ministry of Science and Technology and Zhujiang Scholar Distinguished Professor. Currently his research mainly focuses on the fundamental study and the applications of microextraction technology.
Dr. Ruifen Jiang is an Associate Professor at the School of Environment, Jinan University, China. She received herPh.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Waterloo, Canada in a research group led by Professor Janusz Pawliszyn, the inventor of the solid phase microextraction (SPME) technique. She has published over 40 scientific articles including 4 reviews and 1 book chapter on the development and application of SPME techniques. Currently, her research interests are in the development of novel microextraction techniques for complex environmental sample analysis, as well as the application of SPME as a biomimetic tool for investigating the bioaccumulation of organic pollutants in complex environmental samples.
