Ever since the first pacemaker implantation a little more than 50 years ago, the pacemaker has developed from a simple piece of technology into a multi-programmable device with hundreds or even thousands of programming combinations. In the United States, approximately 200,000 new patients have a pacemaker implanted every year, and the number is increasing, due to both the aging population and new indications. Care for these patients includes not only diagnosis and implantation of the pacemaker system but also periodic check-ups of the implanted system using technical measurements and clinically well-grounded programming to assure optimal treatment. Wenn Sie ein E-Book, das Adobe® Digital Editions benötigt herunterladen, erhalten Sie eine ASCM-Datei, die zu Digital Editions hinzugefügt und mit Ihrem Account verknüpft werden muss. Einige E-Book Reader (zum Beispiel PocketBook Touch) unterstützen auch das direkte Eingeben der Login-Daten des Adobe Accounts – somit können diese ASCM-Dateien direkt auf das betreffende Gerät kopiert werden.
Da E-Books nur für eine begrenzte Zeit – in der Regel 6 Monate – herunterladbar sind, sollten Sie stets eine Sicherheitskopie auf einem Dauerspeicher (Festplatte, USB-Stick oder CD) vorsehen. Auch ist die Menge der Downloads auf maximal 5 begrenzt.
