Beschreibung
A new valve is introduced in this work where it is composed of two portions arranged in parallel configuration. Each valve portion that has its own inherent characteristic had been studied separately to detect its characteristics such as; flow coefficient, pressure loss coefficient and cavitation index. Besides, the effect of flow direction, upstream pressure, and Reynolds number on the valve portion flow characteristics had been depicted. Subsequently, the interaction between the two valve portions is studied to demonstrate their effects on the valve flow characteristics, and how their contribution is establishing the valve flow coefficient range. Finally, the effect of such parameters on the valve flow characteristics is deliberated.
