Any factor that is capable of making life hard for the insect pests that will repel or interfere with its feeding, mating, reproduction, dispersal or kill can be taken as a method of insect pest control. Pest control means there is no need to kill the target pets.Pest management involves managing insect pests of agriculture in such a way that includes safe and environmentally sound use of pesticides to control crop pests when and where needed as well as integrated pest management (IPM) strategies that avoid total reliance on chemical pesticides. Dr. Mahendrasinh V Dabhi is working as Assistant Professor at S.M.C. Polytechnic in Agriculture as sub unit of B A College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand. He taught the students for entomology subjects. He has published two books and more than 12 research papers. He has engaged with teaching, research and extension activity.
