Beschreibung
The citrus is sensitive to lack of moisture, nutrients, water logging and nutrients uptake, plant growth, regular flowering and quality fruiting. These factors when combined together lead to citrus decline. Proper care has to be, therefore, taken to tackle this problem right from the selection of soil to establishment of an orchard, plant growth phases, flowering and fruit development period. The research work done at National Research Centre for Citrus (ICAR), Nagpur (M.S.), India over the last eighteen years (1996-2013) has been highlighted in this book, which contains valuable information on various aspects of soil water management technologies, micro-irrigation, fertigation, muching technique and drainage related to Nagpur mandarin and acid lime cultivation. Various core issues soil, land and water management, drainage such as soil factors leading to poor drainage, its effect on growth and productivity backed up by a suitable management strategy have further been nicely elaborated. I am sure that the above technical book will be of immense help to the students, scientists', researchers, citrus growers, horticultural extension workers and agricultural and horticulture officers.
